Applique towels for my apartment at Disney
camera strap cover
I made a padded camera strap cover for my new camera to stop the strap from chafing my neck. Super easy! Here are the steps:
1. Measure the length of your strap (just the part you want to cover)
2. Measure the width of your strap and times by 3. Add 1/2 inch for seam allowance.
3. Cut two pieces of fabric the width and height of your measurements.
4. Cut batting the same size. Cut a piece of Velcro the same length as the strap.
5. Sew the fabric and batting together, with fabric wrong sides together. Sew along the length side, but not the width side.
6. Turn the fabric.
7. Sew a top stitch on the short ends, turning them in so the raw edge is folded inside.
8. Sew the Velcro on, one on the edge of one side, and one on the opposite edge of the other.
9. Velcro onto camera strap and you're set!
Here is what the end result turns out to look like:
awesome zipper cosmetic bags
So I have a friend who has a bag like these and I just loved it so I looked up a couple different ways people have made similar bags online, and came up with my own sizes and fabrics to try and get that perfect bag. I am travelling soon and I wanted more organization to the chaos that can be luggage. Here are some of the different sizes I made:
Cute little makeup bag with cherries (My fav so far!)
Two identical ones with flowers made from just one fat quarter and a zipper! These two have my bed sheets for my trip in them. Perfect size for it!
I went a little bag-crazy and made a ton! I even made a super size one (not in the picture though, it was about 17 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. It held A LOT)
They all fit so nice and neat in my carryon! I love these bags!
I plan on making and posting a tutorial soon! Good luck sewing!Welcome!
